First Friday, October 7, 2022: Pray the Rosary as a Parish 5:00 pm in Church followed by Benediction 5:45 pm
On October 7 the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Most Holy Rosary. Known for several centuries by the alternate title of Our Lady of Victory, the feast day takes place in honor of a 16th century naval victory which secured Europe against Turkish invasion. Pope St. Pius V attributed the victory to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was invoked on the day of the battle through a campaign to pray the Rosary throughout Europe.

Bring your pets to the OLV Schoolyard at 5:45 pm on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi for this annual tradition. Father David will bless your treasured creatures of God in the spirit of this timeless saint who is especially associated with reverence of nature and love of animals. This is a perfect way to give thanks to God for the special animals in our lives and to ask his blessing on them.
Father David J. Pekola will be officially installed as Pastor of Our Lady of Victories Parish on Sunday, September 11, 2022, by Bishop James F. Checchio at the 10:30 am Mass. Light refreshments will follow in the Msgr. Dalton Hall.
"As a Priest, my primary focus is to help people get to heaven. The source and the means of the journey is the Eucharist, a foretaste of eternal life. I am honored to be your Pastor, but I will always be your Priest. May we journey together as God's Pilgrim People to the Kingdom of God."
Seek first the Kingdom of God, and all these things will be given you besides. Matthew 6:33
On Tuesday, June 28, at 4:30 pm, Bishop Checchio will lay hands on and anoint 31 youth of the parish. For most of them, this has been a journey of 8 years through Religious Education or Catholic School Education.
"Behold, I am doing something new." (Isaiah 43:19)
Since this is the third sacrament of initiation, it marks them with the seal of the Holy Spirit, clothing them with power from on high so that they may be his witnesses. (CCC 1305)
To Jesus through Mary - All are welcome to attend the Religious Education May Crowning on Wednesday, May 11, at 5:45 in the Church. Bring your favorite rosary and join us in imploring blessings from Our Lady and consecrating ourselves to her Immaculate Heart.
On Saturday, May 7, at the 9:00 am Mass, the children of the parish will receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the very first time. Join us in person or via Live Streaming. We praise God for their parents who have nurtured their faith in their Domestic Church and we thank God for the Catechists who have brought them to this day through their example, witness, and instruction.
